Certification Requirements

Certified Computer Crime Investigator
Type: Basic
- Three (3) years experience directly related to the investigation of technical incidents or technical crimes. (law enforcement or corporate)
- Successfully complete a total of forty (40) hours of computer crimes training course(s) provided by an approved agency, organization or training company.
- Provide a narrative report detailing your experience derived from the investigation of at least ten (10) cases related to computer crimes.

Certified Computer Crime Investigator
Type: Advanced
- Five (5) years experience directly related to the investigation of technical incidents or technical crimes. (law enforcement or corporate).
- Successfully complete a total of eighty (80) hours of computer crimes training course(s) provided by an approved agency, organization or company.
- Serve as lead investigator in at least twenty (20) separate cases and have involvement in at least forty (40) other cases as a lead investigator, supervisor or in a supportive capacity. Total case involvement must be sixty (60) at a minimum. Provide a narrative report detailing your experience derived from the investigation of at least ten (15) cases related to computer crimes.

Certified Computer Forensic Technician
Type: Basic
- Three (3) years experience directly related to the forensic acquisition and analysis of digital devices including but not limited to hard drives, tablets and or cell phones while employed by a law enforcement agency or corporation.
- Successfully complete a total of forty (40) hours training course(s) for the forensic acquisition and analysis of hard drives, tablets and or cell phones provided by an approved agency, organization or company.
- Provide a narrative report detailing your experience derived from the forensic acquisition and analysis of digital devices including but not limited to hard drives, tablets and or cell phones of at least ten (10) forensic cases while employed by a law enforcement agency or corporation.

Certified Computer Forensic Technician
Type: Advanced
- Five (5) years experience directly related to the forensic acquisition and analysis of digital devices including but not limited to hard drives, tablets and or cell phones while employed by a law enforcement agency or corporation.
- Successfully complete a total of forty (80) hours training course(s) for the forensic acquisition and analysis of hard drives, tablets and or cell phones provided by an approved agency, organization or company.
- Serve as lead forensic technician in at least twenty (20) separate cases and have involvement in at least forty (40) other cases as a lead forensic technician, supervisor or in a supportive capacity. Total case involvement must be sixty (60) at a minimum. Provide a narrative report detailing your experience derived from the forensic acquisition and analysis of digital devices including but not limited to hard drives, tablets and or cell phones of at least ten (15) forensic cases while employed by a law enforcement agency or corporation.
